Broken-type evaporator

  • This equipment features a pontoon-mounted installation configuration, with the unit directly supported on a floating pontoon platform and operating in a floating state on the surface of the evaporation pond. This design enables it to accommodate fluctuations in water level, eliminates the need for a fixed foundation, and allows for flexible installation—making it particularly well suited for the retrofitting or expansion of large-scale evaporation ponds.

    The core of the equipment is a high-speed atomization system. A 24.2-kilowatt motor drives specially designed nozzles to rotate at high speed, forcibly breaking the wastewater into tiny droplets with an average diameter of about 100 micrometers and dispersing them over a large area in the form of a fine mist. Under natural meteorological conditions—such as sunlight, wind, and low humidity—the mist droplets evaporate rapidly, releasing moisture into the atmosphere while the pollutants and salts settle back into the evaporation pond, thereby reducing the volume of wastewater.

    Evaporation capacity: Each unit can evaporate approximately 3 to 10 cubic meters of water per hour, with the exact efficiency influenced by meteorological factors such as ambient temperature, humidity, and wind speed.

    Energy Consumption Performance: With a 22-kW power configuration, the specific energy consumption per ton of water is significantly lower than that of conventional thermal evaporation processes, delivering substantial operational cost advantages.

    Reliability: All seals are designed for maintenance-free operation, ensuring continuous service for 10,000 hours under normal operating conditions without the need for shutdowns. Only annual maintenance is required, thereby guaranteeing long-term stable performance.

    The equipment is installed directly on the water surface of the evaporation pond, creating a closed-loop operational cycle. Any unevaporated liquid or contaminants, under the influence of gravity, fully return to the designated area of the evaporation pond and do not leak into the surrounding environment, thereby fundamentally eliminating the risk of secondary pollution.

    This equipment is widely used in zero-discharge wastewater projects across industries such as petrochemicals, coal chemicals, mining, power generation, food processing, and municipal wastewater treatment. It supports PLC-based centralized control, wireless network monitoring, and remote operation, enabling unattended operation.

    In zero-emission processes, compared with conventional multi-effect evaporation or mechanical vapor recompression (MVR) technologies, this atomization-based evaporation system offers significant advantages in terms of lower capital and operating costs, making it a cost-effective solution for addressing the issue of overflowing evaporation ponds caused by high-salinity wastewater, landfill leachate, and other similar effluents.
